I’m an engineer with an eye for photography
Hi, I’m Paul Godin. Welcome to my website!
Two of my passions are computers and photography. I’ve been interested in photography for years starting with my first Nikon film camera. Once DSLRs came out and became affordable my interest increased. Not only could I see immediately how my photos come out I’m able to utilize my love of computers with post processing.
My last DSLR was a Nikon D90 which I ended up selling a few years ago. I did a brief stint with a Mavic pro 2 drone which had a wonderful Hasselblad lens. Unfortunately, I found that the FAA is really in a flux with how they are going to deal with drones and decided to sell mine and will re-enter the market for one once they figure things out.
After selling the drone I found I missed not having a camera. This time I decided to go with a mirrorless setup. I bought a Sony A7II camera along with a 24mm-240mm lens. I plan on getting more glass, but for now this will get me started. The A7ii is mirrorless and a full frame camera coming in at 24.7MP, almost twice the size photo as my last camera.
Most of my work will fall in the landscape category. I do hope to fit in some urban scenes focusing on abandoned buildings and ruins. We will see where things go.
